After latest update, Miranda (Skype) doesn't automatically update messages!

After the last software update, I keep having to update from server to get new messages and when I send it thinks it failed but when I update from server the message was sent. It has done this before sometimes but now it's ALL the time today. Tried signing in and out, doesn't change this. I'm using the Skype plugin.

Same here, it doesn't work for ~2 weeks now.

Hope they fix this, it's terrible, I had to install the desktop Skype for now... The web one doesn't seem to alert me. What to do right?

Also fixed adding contacts (Search/add contacts), implemented history deletion from server.

Thanks so much! Yeah, I noticed that it asked me about a request when I updated! No wonder!  What is the history deletion about?

Same as in web client: you can select your message and delete it for both sides (only in NewStory message log).
For example, if you accidentally sent a message to the wrong contact, etc.

Ahhhh, yeah! I sometimes had to do that in the Skype web/app. Then it shows the old and the revision in history. What is the "NewStory" message log, it's not the "View user's history" icon on the bottom right container corner?

Install the NewStory plugin and select it as the current message log (Message sessions → Log viewer)

Wow COOL! Yeah seems to be a more "natural" history! I can see I can edit the messages, but it doesn't actually change it on the server and if I select load server history it reverts it back to what it was... But besides that, it can fix those "edits" as long as it's not reverting. Is this how it works or am I missing something?

Our Skype protocol implementation does not support sync edits with the server.
All edits are performed only locally.

Telegram synchronizes edits with the server if I remember correctly.

NewStory also can display picture previews. This is the most advanced message log.

Ahhh, well I figured but I don't care if it doesn't because I always wished I could edit it locally if there was a mess somewhere, and I couldn't figure out how to do it without messing it up, back when with the previous database format, sqlite. lol.  Thank you so much!

Hi! Worked well all this time but, problem is back since yesterday... Worse now as I try to update server history, the first time it changes my messages to appear as if they were sent by the other party. If I go back to a backup and try again, it seems to succeed maybe the first time or even after a couple tries without messing things up... Also very iffy when sending, might wait a while and fail, or succeed after a delay.

Update: Suddenly from this morning, 8/8/2024, everything is running smoothly again, as if something has been modified on the server side...

UNFORTUNATELY: As of 8/13/2024, no it generally isn't automatically receiving new messages, and if I try to update server history, it tends to change a lot of previous messages, making it seem the other person wrote what I wrote. So I revert to a good database and update history again and then it does just the correct ones!
