It seems since a few version icq file transfer has resumed working, at least partially. It seems that real ICQ clients more often send files with "invalid" characters in the filename and miranda-ng fails to accept the file transfer.
I assume a simple fix would be to convert all invalid non-ascii chars to underscores or so?

Also some files still come in as links https://files.icq.net/get/ID but opening them in webbrowser result in 404?

Which logs would I need to provide for you guys to reproduce the problem?

some files
can you ask the sender what the files were? (extension)
netlog recorded at the time of arrival of such a file will be very useful

I see only one scenario when links income - if I send file from official client (ICQ for Android) to someone. So Miranda retrieves history from server and shows sended files (sended by me) as links. but I have never (since the links stopped working and we moved to filetransfers) receive incoming files as links, these are always "filetransfers"...

Maybe the links come from the web version or an old icq version?

Maybe... therefore, it makes sense to ask the contacts which client they use
