appeared in my contact's window in messenger I no longer receive messages from them in miranda and can't send them messages either. How can this be fixed ?

Since none of the Miranda developers use Facebook, we need to look for some client where this is implemented and look at the source code...

Witam dołączam się do tematu, zwykle piszę w dziale polskim, ale zauważyłem tutaj ten sam temat. Mam to samo z niektórymi kontaktami na Facebook wtyczce. Mam nadzieję, że  da się te komplikacje usunąć.  Teraz zauważyłem, że ze już w sumie ze wszystkimi kontaktami z poziomu wtyczki Facebook nie da się rozmawiać, nic nie dochodzi do mnie ani nie mogę wysyłać wiadomości. Mam nadzieję, że da się we wtyczce pogrzebać, i to wszystko wyprostować.

Ostatnie testy po aktualizacji wtyczki Facebook. Jest lepiej, ale jeszcze trzeba pogrzebać w niej, gdyż jeszcze co do niektórych kontaktów nic nie dochodzi i nic do mnie nie przychodzi. Mówię o wiadomościach. i ten sam komunikat że dostarczenie wiadomości się nie powiodło, a kontakty są online.

As someone who uses fb messenger daily, this is disturbing to see, although i have discovered that any account that has not logged into facebook through fb themselves are fine from this issue as they havent set an encryption key, as for the future of this plugin, i speculate that fb would add support for the encryption key to graph api as it is an official api that isnt depreceated as far as i know.

I hope theres a solution as my main account is affected

I confirm this error, it still occurs, I started a topic in the Polish section and even after several updates of the Facebbok plug-in, the errors did not disappear.

What do miranda developers use?   I thought Facebook had pretty much monopolized all the old IM programs that have disappeared over the years.   I wouldnt use FB either if I had a choice but all my contacts have moved to it.   Now I can't message any of them in Miranda and I have yet to find a decent replacement for the desktop. It seems like the official FB messenger is designed for phones.  It takes up a huge footprint on the desktop to the point you might just as well keep FB open in a browser. Which is probably what they want.

VK is much more popular in Russia than Facebook, access to which, in addition, has been blocked for two years.

The main problem right now is that there are no other open source applications that we can look into to figure out how to implement encryption support.

If they ever can.  If there are no other open-source applications that can do it, it would make it extremely difficult.  It's a shame.  Miranda and now NG have been slowly dying for a long time beause of all the IM programs disappearing.  As I mentioned, Facebook now has the lion's share of users of those programs.  The official facebook messenger app is horrible for a PC but there doesn't appear to be anything else.

I understand how you feel.  I've been using Miranda then NG for 20yrs or more and don't want to give it up but since all my contacts have moved to facebook, I won't have much choice.  I originally used it to combine iCQ, MSN messenger, Yahoo messenger, AIM and Google chat.  Those are mostly all gone now.  I really hate the official facebook messenger client on the desktop. It's ugly and cumbersome and takes up way too much of the screen.
What's especially frustrating is I can still see the contacts in Miranda.  I just can't send or receive messages from any of them now.

There have been no commits to the plugin since March 10

The plugin has been rebuilt so that it can load with the new kernel version, but this does not affect its functionality in any way

As Dartraden said, there's really nothing that can be done for Facebook unless they can figure out the encryption.  It's not Miranda NG but Facebook that has effectively blocked it and other third party clients. 
I will keep Miranda NG on a drive for a long while.  I'm not good with change and I always loved the fact it could be made portable.  I could transfer it to another computer or have it run immediately after a clean install of windows without the need to reinstall it. 

I'd like to thank the developers for all their work in keeping it running well for so long.
