Hi ICQ protocol developers. I wonder if the recent release of ICQ client source code ( https://github.com/mailru/icqdesktop ) could be used to improve the protocol in Miranda somehow (or to ease its maintaining). The project provides a "core" library independent from Qt, that IMHO could be used to communicate with the servers. There is a good chance that ICQ developers will keep the project up-to-date with protocol changes, so as long as they do not change the library API, it could mean less pain for the Miranda plugin maintainers. What do you think? Is it worth the extra initial work?
