Yes, we plan to implement adding contacts.

support voice message
Receiving or sending? Receiving is easy to implement because it's basically just a file transfer. Sending is hard. Only one protocol in Miranda supports multimedia - Jabber. There, this feature is still very experimental and requires manual manual addition of special libraries. It is not known who and when will polish it, only then it can be added to other protocols.

Telegram sent a notification to third-party app developers today.

Starting from February 18, when you first log into any desktop and web Telegram client (doesn't matter 3rd-party or official), there will be only one way to receive a confirmation code - get it in the Telegram mobile client on your mobile device. No SMS anymore.

Thus, if you want to add a Telegram account to Miranda, you will need to have a telegram client on your phone.

In my opinion receiving will be sufficient or even if not maybe some kind of notification about the voice message.

Hi. I'd like to ask you if there's a possibility for Miranda to display the Telegram contacts the same way as I have them on my phone? Cause now I see the contacts only by their nicknames or by just their first names, so I have e.g. 3 Johns and I don't know who is who. :-) Thanx a lot.

Options → Contact list → Contact names → Drag FirstName LastName to the top

Hi. I have one more question. When I connected my Telegram account to Miranda, I see only 2 people online and the rest I see still offline. In the Telegram app on the phone I see that they were active, but they never appear in Miranda. When I wanna chat someone who was recently active on the phone, but showes me offline in Miranda it says: Error 400: Chat not found. How can I set access to all the contacts? Thanx a lot.

For anybody else having this problem, the solution is to write to the offline contact once from a mobile phone or any other Telegram app and than the contact will properly appear in Miranda.

OK, so another trouble. My girlfriend registered on Telegram and connected with Miranda, but the contacts didn't came through. When I wrote her, I appeared in Miranda. But no other else. In the Telegram app on the phone she can see all the contacts normally. What to do? Thanx a lot.

Let her log into the TG web version and look at the contacts

I think the contacts she sees on her phone are the contacts from her phone address book, not the contacts on the server.

That's why I never give Telegram access to contacts on my phone, so that it only shows ITS OWN  contacts, and not all those that are in the phone book

I think the web version will show the same as Miranda because they both only have access to the server contact list

https://www.reddit.com/r/Telegram/comments/16xtwtk/how_telegram_handles_contacts/

Apparently, a lot depends on how other people have their "who can see my phone number" and "who can find me by phone number"

I prefer this setup for myself
1) Blocked Telegram app access to contacts on the phone
2) Deleted synchronized contacts from the server (in Telegram settings)
3) Manually added those I need to Telegram contacts (in the client)

This way, I only have the contacts I need, and not the entire huge roster from the phone book
