File Transfer - Drag and Drop doesn't work

Hi there,

i used to drag and drop files to send them into my contact list and/or message container, but it seems to doesnt work on miranda ng.

i'm using ModernCL and Tabsrmm. It could be, that the problem just exists with windows 8.1, but i dont have another OS to test that.

Does anyone else have a similar problem or know how to fix it? :D

Well.. Drag&Drop works for me, also on Win8.1 but I'm using 32bit edition of Miranda
What doesn't work currently (and if I got it right, should) is copy&paste of files... But we're working on it: http://forum.miranda-ng.org/index.php?topic=3813.0

You should be able to drag files onto contacts in your ClistModern, as well as into the message input field of TabSRMM (you'll get a "+" symbol on your cursor to mark available drop)

hm, i got no + instead there is a Ø.
Now i just changed the the folder from nYceMir to nYceMirX and now it works.. i had to accept a new firewall message from the windows firewall.. but now it works.. if i rename the whole miranda folder back it doesnt work again o_O

So you should unblock your Miranda (the old path) in windows firewall, probably you accidentally blocked it in the past (or win itself) :-)

(just info for potential others with same problem, I guess you already did that)

no, i now use just another folder name, i think i didn't block miranda in the firewall.. i also could send files through right click and the menu for send file.. so there was no firewall block.. :/ i really dont know what the problem was/is.

I still think you have it blocked in firewall, antivirus or other security software. So it's not about sending (that's why it works with right click), but more about that drag&drop of files - which could be potential security risk so I can imagine some antiviruses want to block that. But idk :-)
