Problems with Miranda NG

My daughter changed her IM manager from Pidgin to Miranda NG in order to do a group chat:

1) Group chat doesn't work in msn.
    We communicate through the MSN protocol.
    (she has a "live" address, I have an "hotmail" address)
    When we click on Create Chat or Convert chat Miranga NG Crashes.
    On my pc and if my daughter does click on Create Chat
    or Convert chat also her PC crashes.

2) Colored text
    MSN users told me that they don't see the colored text but only
    the color tags  "color=red" "/color"
    I though both have to be on Miranda so I tried it with my daughter.
    Same thing. We both see only color tags.

3) I installed on her and on my PC "EM_LAN_PROTO" to communicate through Lan.
    It doesn't work.
    I tried everything, firewall down, virusscan off.
    Nothing, it doesn't work.
    I don't see her computer name and she doesn't see my computer name.
    I installed also another external Lan Chat software this morning, just
    to check if Lan communication is possible, yes it works.
   
How can I resolve these problems?

My Miranda version:
Miranda NG v 0.95.2 build #9966 x64

Where you don't see it? First you have to do "Find/Add contacts" and search for that computer there and then add it to your contact list. Does this work or not?

Yes! 
Never thought to add a computer as contact
Thought that a tcp/udp port was scanned on the lan

btw I regret that I don't see groupchat on EM_LAN_PROTO but I'm happy that it works.

I had 2 more crashes when I closed the MSN Chat window.
Then I realized that I had to install the msn driver also on the other pc.
Now, it seems to work fine.

I invited an user to the groupchat and could write with this user.
In my miranda there was a chat room contact "MSN Chat#1"
I could communicate with the other user in the chat room but did not see the user in the user panel (saw only my own msn name)
The other user received my groupchat messages clicking on my MSN name in Miranda (there was no group chat indication).
Is that the way as it has to be?

Btw if I invite 2 users to the groupchat, can the other users also chat between them in this Chat Room (visible to all 3 users)?

The software crashed when I closed the group chat window.

I tried EM_LAN_PROTO many times today. It is a great plugin.
I really like it. Hope that the owner will add Groupchat one day

I noted also that "bold, italic, underline, strike-through as
also  color formatting doesn't work on my pc and the one of my daughter.
I can only see  the tags (outgoing and incoming messages for all my protocols).

Doing a groupchat, closing the (groupchat) window caused another crash.
