Metacontact history

Hi,

Contact specific history in metacontacts isn't really working for me, at least not for outgoing messages.
Before the update the history was saved separately for every contact in a metacontact plus the metacontact itself.
Now it seems outgoing messages are just saved for the metacontact, meaning that if you delete and split it to separate contacts again the outgoing history is just gone.

Incoming messages on the other hand seem to work as before, I can see them in the history of the metacontact and also in the history of the included contacts.

1. Everything is saved only for metacontacts, only once, in one exemplar.
2. Subs make their only histories by filtering out their own events, so you just send messages via another sub.

And you better run dbchecker once after conversion - it will fix all possible problems

Wrong. Try and see for yourself.

I did run dbchecker, before and after updating, and I did delete a metacontact to find out what happens.
Outgoing messages just aren't there for the subs.
Incoming no problem.

Existing messages work as expected, but new ones don't for whatever reason.
A friend of mine has the same problem, so it's not just me.

When were these metacontacts created? Was it by any chance on early nightly versions of 0.95.1?
Can you create a totally new meta and see if problem still persists there?

I've never used any nightly version.
The metacontacts are from years ago I think.
But I also removed one of them completely and created it again, but that also doesn't fix it.

And how do you run dbcheker - is this checkbocks unchecked?

which message editor do you use? tabSRMM? Scriver? StdMsg?
would you post your VersionInfo please

PS: if you switched to tabSRMM, will it fix the problem?

At least newly created metacontacts should work OK if database is intact and checked with dbchecker (i would even suggest "Aggressively find corruption" checked).

Changing to tabSRMM indeed seems to fix it.
I use the standard message editor, whatever that is called, no extra plugin. I just like it the most.

So it doesn't seem to be a database problem (in dbchecker I have everything unchecked)
