How to disable the flashing taskbar and enabling sound notification?

Hello,

maybe I missed something in the options, but how can I disable the taskbar flashing?

I disabled everything i found with "Notify", but it keeps flashing.

I use Miranda for Facebook only.

And how can i enable sounds for new messages?
I enabled "Sounds" in the options, but it keeps quiet.

First I've used Miranda in my PortableApps and I also tried a new, fresh Miranda Version, but on both I have the same problems.

I use windows 10 if that matters.

Tray flashing can be disabled in Options - Contact list - Tray - Disable icon blinking, if you really don't need it.

Taskbar flashing depends on your message editor. Which plugin do you use? (tabSRMM, Scriver, StdMsg)

Sounds can be tuned at Options - Sounds, just ensure that a sound for New message exists and could be played

I don't need it and it's distracting me because on my Notebook the Taskbar is faded out and the flashing fade it in every time...

I used the version from PortableApps and I also tried the fresh Miranda-ng-alpha-latest_x64.7z.

Ohhh.... I thought, just enabling it will do it.

Only installers contains sound files. So if you use portable 7z-version, you should pick up your own wave files (or mp3 if BassInterface plugin is installed).

I'm visually impaired and can't read black on dark blue so here's a screenshot of it.

I also tried the "Zero Notifications" Plugin and was hoping for it helps, but it keeps on flashing...

Sound works now, but only if I set a sound if someone is typing.
I dont get a sound notification if I have a new message:



Is that normal?

It's not a version info report. Please install CrashDumper plugin (Main menu - Available components list) and create version info report (Main menu - Version info - Copy to clipboard)

Version info report contains list of installed plugins, so we can finally find out which of the message plugin you are using

In Main Menu -> Available Components List there is no "CrashDumper" listet...

Neither in the PortableApps Version, nor in the Version I posted above...
