And check IM Updater version. It should be 64-bit because you have 64-bit Miranda
Yeah, checked that multiple times
there is an unknown problem with 64-bit converter. it's simpler to setup 32-bit Miranda, put your profile under it and try to upgrade this version (you can easily switch back to 64-bit version later)
I had a miranda32.exe and a miranda64.exe in my Miranda IM directory. I exited the running Miranda IM session and copied the 32 bit version PluginUpdater. I started miranda32.exe and received an application error (0xc000007b). There was no other button that "OK".
Tried that multiple times but always had the same problem.7
Then I downloaded the newest version of Miranda IM x86 (0.10.74.0, miranda-im-v0.10.74-unicode.7z) from SourceForge and unpacked it into a new directory. I copied the Profiles directory from my old installation into at. Now I was able to start (it complained there are "no communication plugins activated"). Then I copied the 32 bit version of PluginUpdater into it, started miranda32.exe and PluginUpdater ran and restarted Miranda several times. Perfect, I'm running Miranda NG now
But then, I wanted to activate some plugins, clicked on Options in menu but Miranda NG
crashed. Tried that multiple times. Always crashing when entering Options menu.
So then I used Miranda IM 64 Bit (miranda-im-v0.10.74-x64.7z). Put it into a new directory, copied Profile dir from old installation, started it. Works. Decompressed PluginUpdater64.zip into this directory, restarted Miranda IM, nothing. Restarted, nothing.
So deleted the trial directories. Created new directory for Miranda IM 32 Bit (miranda-im-v0.10.74-unicode.7z), copied profile, started miranda32.exe, perfect. Decompressed PluginUpdater into it (32 Bit version), update went fine. Restarted Miranda multiple times, works. Entered Options menu, crashed.
Is there anything I can do to provide you logs? I didn't find any CrashLog dir in my profile.
