Update causes Miranda to crash on start

I am currently on the 0.95.5 64-bit development version of Miranda. If I try to update to 0.95.6 development version or 0.95.5 stable version, Miranda crashes on start with an Access Violation error from Modern contact list. I am attaching a crash report after an update. What can be causing this?

wrong / broken theme, for example, because this crash happens inside a skin painter.
could you try to disable themes and retry to upgrade Miranda?

I am already using the default contact list skin, should I disable something else as well?

Ok, I've disabled the skin engine and it seems to work now, thanks.
