How to set Jabber nickname?

My Jabber nick always shows as whole address like 'username@xmpp.server.com'. Other people show up with proper single nickname. I couldn't find any solution to set the nickname. VCard (UInfoEx.dll) just seems to affect local settings (my contact list only).

How can i (re-)set the nickname for my Jabber account?

Yes, that's the way its meant to be done. I've also disabled 'UserInfoEx' but it doesn't work. Just nothing happens. That value worked for years indeed with old Miranda. That bug actually started just yesterday (as i migrated from Miranda to Miranda-NG).

Does changing value work for you? Maybe its a bug in latest version.

Edit: I've tested that with a blank/new profile as well. No change. Still no way to change the nick. It shows the JID now as 'Nickname' though.

I tried updating it without userinfoex and it works:

Yes, its probably either my XMPP server (jabber.ccc.de) or my "self-imported" contact. I can remember that my nick looked properly on friends clients indeed. I guess it was always so since day 1 and i immediately changed the "display name" accordingly (so my local list/self-import looks ok as well). I haven't tested it with a 2nd account (that probably is the only reliable way to test this). I also tested nick-change behavior with old Miranda and it (indeed) works there the same so i guess everything is ok indeed.
