Thing is, my Miranda can't accept incoming calls either. The client on my friend's side shows an error (I forgot the exact text, I think it was telling that my client was not supporting the audio calls). They are using Monal on iOS, and two Monals from different accounts on the same eJabberd server can make an audio call to each other. But not to me with my Miranda.
I kinda understand that Miranda was not designed for audio calls, and I even thought it has no support for such functionality at all, that I'd have to find something else. But when I googled, I found out about those plugins and the VoIP option, so I decided to give it a go — only to discover that I can't even enable the option.


I mean, if this option is supposed to control outgoing calls only — then how should I enable incoming calls? I have the plugins installed, I don't see any other options I could tune, apart from that VoIP one. And people still cannot call me.

This error means that your 'inbox' for the incoming offline messages at the server is overflown, it has nothing to do with Miranda. Also, usually spam auth requests are included into this number, so you better install a plugin like StopSpam to clear them up

there're a couple of options for that in Options - Events - File transfers dialog:
- the very ability to download files automatically
- to set the certain limit to download files automatically, based on their size

but mention must be maid that HTTP links themselves are not downloaded, only files sent by HTTP Upload

hi, I'm not sure that I've implemented the functionality of the outgoing call in Jingle.
Miranda definitely handles incoming calls, but I've never tried to call from Miranda (afair)

Hwman, у меня лично все прекрасно работает. Все штатно: при сбросе токена новый запрашивается стандартным порядком и без вопросов принимается.
Поскольку мой штатный телепат ушел в бессрочный отпуск, к гадалкам мне религиозные убеждения обращаться не позволяют, а по столь сбивчивому объяснению и без логов я могу только плечами пожать и спросить "ой, а шо случилось?", то ничем помочь не могу. Разве что посмотреть в потолок, и, так, на всякий случай, попросить проверить, что миранда и браузер на vk.com не ходят по разным каналам.

Я дико извиняюсь, но шо таки снова с Мирандой? С вечера всё было норм, работало как часы.
С утра не могу подключиться, требует залогиниться на сайте и ввести строку. Вводишь - ничего не происходит, открывается новая вкладка и опять требует ввести строку.
А шо случилось?  :(

My friend is using Miranda on Win11. FWIW, I'm running Miranda on Win7 and I haven't had this problem.

This is his report on the issue:

I'm pretty sure it's not synching with server history properly which could be the fault of the server. Every time I go online I'm getting a long series of repeated pop up messages scrolling by (occasionally causing Miranda to exit), either as if I did a "Load server history" or this error:

Error 0: Unknown error
Your contact offline message queue is full. The message has been discarded

I've done "Check database" repair, all options turned on.
I've emptied the (local) history.
I've varied the Account Type (Secure XMPP and Secure XMPP (old style)), and varied the network connection between Use STARTTLS and Use SSL.

Have you encountered this problem before?

Is there anything my friend can do with the Miranda options to stop that flood of offline messages?
