All settings are stored either in the database (.dat inside the profile), or in the profile (Tox.json, Telegram's .binlog, etc.), or in the Miranda folder (mirandaboot.ini)

Setting ProfileDir in mirandaboot.ini to a blank value will force Miranda to look for the profiles in /Miranda_root/Profiles

So you can just set ProfileDir=
Create the Profiles directory near Miranda32/64.exe
Move your profile from %AppData%\Miranda NG to Profiles

The result will be something like /Miranda_root/Profiles/myprofile/myprofile.dat

With the default plugin set and a clean profile, Miranda starts exactly like this—with a visible contact list.

Where are all profile-independent settings stored?

Is the file "mirandaboot.ini" still used?

I prefer to store these settings NOT in Registry and not user %APPDATA% folder but in a local, portable file/folder in Mirandas installation directory.
How can I achieve this?

When I start Miranda-NG on Windows 10 then it starts always minimized in Systray.

How can I tell M-NG to start visible as window?

надо попробовать высмотреть, при каких действиях жрутся эти самые GDI Handle

Никаких действий (явных), даже протоколы поставил "не в сети", просто со временем растет это кол-во.... Из "активности" - вот что на 2 и 3 скрине...

Решил сёдня обновить миранду а то давно не обновлял, всё кроме библиотек обновилось нормально.
Либы ошибку выдают что архив повреждён, перезапустил, щяс версия 0.96.8 alpha build #4605 (336dd12) но всёравно эти три либы не обновляются, пробовал обновлять несколько раз, как все сразу так и по отдельности. Win XP SP3
Обновил либы вручную, вроде работает.

ты правильно обвел GDI Objects 10000 - при этом пороге винда теряет способность к сопротивлению и дохнет
надо попробовать высмотреть, при каких действиях жрутся эти самые GDI Handle
