Hej, possibly, some of you have heard of that attempt to revive the old MSN with a server using an old MSN protocol. https://escargot.log1p.xyz/
I'm wondering how far from connecting to it miranda is.
I think it would be useless if there is too much to do, but if it's just very easy, I think it would be fun, even if I don't think it'll become big.

yvesson, That's a great idea! :)

Hej,
Thanks, but I didn't get much support, nor an answer...
It's the only way I'd continue using Miranda, cause with now both yahoo and msn dead, ICQ almost dead (don't have any active contact there, Miranda is no use anymore for me.

There is a bug report (https://github.com/miranda-ng/miranda-ng/issues/1945) for the dropped MSN support:
Why doesn't anyone of you try it out with EscargotMSN and post your results there?
-
Dear Wishmaster!
Okey, I will try it, and share results.
-
Wishmaster,
modern MSN plugin won't work with Escargot, because the login procedure was replaced with Skype's one
also that's not possible to enter the custom server address now
-
Hej,
That's why it didn't work when I tryed, before posting here. :รพ
I suppose it's not too hard to roll back the changes, but I can't do that.
-
Hej,
Well, I now suppose it isn't easy either. :(
-
Hej,
Nothing new about it ?
I'd thought more people would be nostalgic about msn, but well I understand that without the old contacts... and it's very hard to get only one to use it. :/

No one was willing to support such an unpopular protocol.
If someone wants to support it, we are always ready to accept patches.
