Title: Alt codes don't work
Post by: Dimsok on 20 08 2017, 04:17:58
alt+numpad codes don't work neither in group chats nor in single (ieview). Is it usual behaviour?

Just installed IEView and checked, works.

Alt+20 on Windows XP:

alt+20 works, but did you try alt+1 for example, which in notepad gives smile, in miranda's window - nothing.

Dimsok, what plugin do you use? StdMsg, Scriver or TabSRMM? In TabSRMM it works correctly for me (and for dartraiden). Even smile with alt+1 works for me. (But I don't use IEView)

Windows 10, tabsrmm+ieview: Alt+1 and Al+20 works for me.

Windows XP, tabsrmm+ieview: Alt+1 don't work even in Notepad, so it's problem with my virtual machine, I think.

Windows XP, tabsrmm+ieview

In group chats (which is independent from ieview, right?) doesn't work too/

IEView alters only log (content of the window), not input area, so that shouldn't be related with IEView.

Can you check if it works differently in stable version? Did it worked before?

RMN performed some tests on live XP installation. Strange, but he also cannot enter Alt+1 and Alt+3 in Notepad. So it's not my virtual machine's bug.
Seems like in some XP installations this combinations don't work. But Alt+20 works perfectly.

But I not wonder, because RTF in Miranda = pain.

The codes from below 0x20 are not printable and require special support from editing software to render.
I suggest "working as designed" resolution.
