Title: Locked proto status affects global status - bug

ghazan said this will be fixed soon, and that was more than a year ago. :)

I know it's a small thing, but for some reason it's irritating as hell. So,  I would appreciate a lot if anyone could fix it.

Whiplash, maybe try to ping ghazan again in conference. (But sure it would be good if anyone else could fix that)
