I'm using ping protocol to ping several servers and to check their availability. Whenever a server is offline and cannot be pinged therefore, Miranda freezes completely for 'x' seconds, where 'x' is the ping timeout, set in the protocols options. Quite annoying if you're chatting, so could it be fixed somehow?
