Title: How to make miranda not hide in task bar (window 7)
Post by: bionioncle on 14 07 2015, 07:43:29
Hi, I'm new to Miranda and I really dont like it to hide int taskbar like this http://i.imgur.com/XcwQ7Ca.png. How ever I don't know how to make it just hide normally like other program (i.e: skype). Is there anyway to do it.

I don't have English Windows but I will try to guess the text in options... :D

- Click Customize.
- Search for Miranda.
- Select (Now I'm guessing) "Show icons and notifications".

And voila... You will have your miranda icon always visible. ;)

BTW... Skype is hidden on your screenshot too. :P

Sorry you misunderstood what I mean. I want miranda  always show in this bar http://i.imgur.com/flvVCKH.png but not hide in this bar http://i.imgur.com/Xcyxqmy.png

Sorry because I don't know the name of 2 different type of bar.

bionioncle, sry... as far as I know, the contact list can only hide to the tray or left/right side of the screen...

addition:
you could go Options->Contact list->Window->Disable Skin engine or Use non-layered mode
and also activate "Show title bar" so you'll get the taskbar icon... though you'll end up without skins for the contact list.
It'll still hide into the tray, so you shouldn't "close" it.

Or use different clist than clist_modern, e.g. clist_nicer where I think one can enable title bar too and it will look better than unskinned clist_modern
