Title: incoming messages in popup history
Post by: mida on 08 05 2015, 19:01:17
is it possible to don't save incoming messages into popup history?
i didn't see a option for this, because i don't need it, only status messages and all others

Just use NewXstausNotify logging abilities to store status changes in history and not Popup history.

Btw Popup history is available only until you close your Miranda, it's not saved anywhere as far as I know. So what's the real problem here? Why you want not to see messages there?

my Miranda opens a chat window automically where i can read the messages. I dont understand why there must be saved into popup own history too.
i know that there is a limit how much information messages are saved into Popuphistory but i thought if chat messages are not saved it would be easier to search.

mida, you can completely disable popups for new messages. You can find setting for it probably somewhere in options / communication / ...  Or options / popups / ...

Robyer, he wants the popups, he doesn't want messages in popup history. Short answer - can't be done, use NewXstatusNotify for logging status changes and not PopUp.

Robyer, he wants the popups, he doesn't want messages in popup history.

I know he want popups - for status, error messages (as he said), but then he also said:

my Miranda opens a chat window automically where i can read the messages

And I said "mida, you can completely disable popups for new messages.", not all popups.

Because what's the point of having popups for new messages when he has enabled opening chat window automatically?

mida, do you want to see popups for new messages, but just don't log them to popup history OR you don't want to show popups for new messages at all? First CAN'T be done as watcher said, second CAN be done as I said.

yes, chat window opening automically and second one, i don't want to show new chat messages in popups.
is this option disable event notification for instant messages under popups -> event notification? and only for messages or other notification?
