Why so often updates when is more chances to find some thing broken then better working or new featured? Why turn workable things to unworkable? Doesn't scrobble anymore

They try to cleanup Miranda so it's easier to maintain in the future... and might also fix one or two bugs.. though the "cleanup" is mostly Copy&Paste / Search&Replace, and is thus very likely to break things. (as people are lazy^^)

In the end, it should improve Miranda's overall code quality.. though it sometimes degraded performance a bit. (while also improved it in other cases)

Clean up and searching for new crashes? Sometimes all work good and updating makes crash. I think updates need only when connection of some protocols stop working or adding of new features to addons. Why change one bug on another cause every update is the reason for new update (to correct errors, derived from that update). It's endless story.
Or collect updates and make changes more rarely (at least not every day). Cause it's tiresome update it every day and searching for new bugs, errors and crashes.

You are not forced to use the developer build^^
Besides, you are not forced to update it either. Simply stay on your version if everything works.

Dimsok, just set your updater to check for updates more rarely - e.g. not every day, but once a week or so.

These changes might be pain in short term, but makes Miranda better in a long term. Make it easier to maintain the project or read the code or just allow to fix bugs on one place instead of on many places/plugins. And also it could provide soil for the new features in future.

Before updates was for a few plugs. Now almost everyday for all! And nothing new in them. Only for compatibility with new core i guess? I still think it's endless process, no? Will come one day when miranda will be pefrectness in code when you will be change it only with critical changes in protocols just to make it works, but not to give unvisible improvments?

Before updates was for a few plugs. Now almost everyday for all! And nothing new in them.
When there is some core change affecting all plugins, then all plugins will be changed too. It's usually that, yes.

But fact that you don't see the change or something new doesn't mean it's not useful or needed change.

I still think it's endless process, no?
Developing any software is basically endless process - it always can be better. Especially for software like Miranda. Everything around is evolving, OS, protocols, people's demands and needs.

And all these changes is what makes the project alive. Moment when there will be only important security fixes is the moment when whole project dies...

So we all should be glad there is ghazan and others who makes the project alive, making code better and more usable for us and the developers of future, because without proper base you can't have stable result. It would fall apart, like it happened in Miranda IM. If you have wrong infrastructure or messy, hard to maintain/understand code then developers will leave, people will be mad and project will die...

Still doesn't scrobble. Doesn't need that feature to anyone except me? Why not get back to state of a couple of weeks and a hundred of updates ago when all was ok?

Well, please open a ticket on the bug tracker and provide a much more detailed description then "Doesn't scrobble anymore". Bug reports in this forum are overlooked and forgotten.

Can someone confirm that it works with lastfm?

It doesn't work with lastfm, maybe lastfm changed its API. Open ticket and hope for the best as author of Watrack is not developing his plugins any longer.
