Title: Just moved from IM to NG, NG does not autoconnect? (solved)(?)
Post by: Grunwaldt on 19 11 2014, 06:47:00
Hi guys, excuse my uber-noobish questions...

I've recently installed NG and works great

I have 2 questions:

1.- How do you make Miranda NG to automatically log-in for all protocols on launch by default? (I can't find the option, if any) EDIT2: Now it does, dunno if i touched anything, or it is a bug, or what...

2.- How do I make the status changes of users appear on their corresponding message log windows? (I mean like "John is now away" and stuff like that in the chat windows) EDIT: I think I've found the option, I guess I should mark "Options->Message Sessions->Other options->Log status changes"

1) Miranda automatically starts with last GLOBAL status. Alternativelly you can use Simple Status Msg plugin, which handles better setting of status messages and also in Options / Status add option to choose status on startup per protocol account. Or Startup Status does this too, but in a more complex way.

2) Yes, that's correct option. Alternatively you can use NewXStatusNotify which could also log X-statuses.

1 - Or by setting global status online from icon in system tray.
2 - By installing StartupStatus plugin which lets you control in which status every single one account starts when Miranda starts itself.

EDIT: I think I've found the option, I guess I should mark "Options->Message Sessions->Other options->Log status changes"

This one only shows statuses, does not log them to history though, if you want it to be kept in history and shown in message window - better remove this option and use logging ability of NewXStatusNotify, like Robyer, suggested, however if only monitoring is enough for you, you can stick with option that you've just found.
