I see that the client is slowly dropping mode and more legacy clients. Not just taking it out of the standard installer, but just removing it from the plugin website entirely. Why? There are many revival services, such as CrossTalk, or Retro AIM Server. One thing I noticed is that I can't just re-add old plugins either. Skype Web plugin was the most working one, that just disables itself once trying to use it, although the Skype server is still up. You can still use Skype 8 to this day, as long as you use the latest version, and do something to ignore the S4L > upgrade > required part of the JSON given from config.edge.skype.com. I'm pretty sure that the latest plugin already ignores this. Emoticon server is down, but the best part, it just works! You can still message Teams users as usual. Why not keep the plugin there? It should work with revival servers for most of them!

You can use an older Miranda version where plugins were still alive

Sure, that works... but that's not my point at all. Why even drop them in the first place? There are replacement servers, or for Skype Web, the server is still up! Just mark them as legacy, and tell people to not expect much support.

Well, mostly because Miranda is being developed now by 3 people, from whom I am the only coder. Our goal is to concentrate on protocols which are used by the majority of people, like Telegram or XMPP, not on the geek toys, that's why the support of the obsoleted protocols is simply removed (the less code to support the more time I have to do smth really useful)

Yeah, that's understandable, but I feel like they should be kept under legacy category, with no guaranteed support. Putting them back myself is definitely possible, but I have no experience with that kind of stuff that much. Will you ever put it back, if there will be an active maintainer for it?
