Title: QucikSearch not working on Win11

Hello,

I have just moved from Win10 to Win11 (Clean install, not upgrade). My Miranda (PilotPack) is located on drive D: so no installation was performed on new system, I have simply double clicked Miranda.exe and it works.

The only problem I have, which is very bothering is that I don't have ability to search contact list. When I'm typing on  the buddy list nothing happens. I use the QuickSearch plugin, restored settings to default, but no success. Any ideas how to bring back this usufull functionality?

Copy Miranda folder "/users/<username>/Appdata/Roaming/Miganda NG" to the same location in a new system. Take into account <username> if usernames are different in old and new system.

1. which contact list plugin do you use?
2. what about Options - Contact list - Common - Search works as filfer?

I have everything on D: partition, I don't use roaming folder for Miranda

Ad.1 I'm using clist_modern
Ad.2. I cannot find the settings you are asking for. tak a look at the following picture

I'm starting to think that the problem is not the Quick search. What I try to achieve is that, when I'm on contact list and i put some string the contacts will limit to the persons that have the string in it's name.

Those options look very old, I advice you ro upgrade at least to the current stable version

I cannot upgrade the old PilotPack, so I have installed fresh version. Is it possible to transfer the history to the new Miranda?

why? just add Plugin Updater & click "Check updates"

Of course, you can import the old histories into the new profile by running Import plugin, preferrably in the service mode (right on the profile creation/selection dialog)
