JABBER(XMPP) chat rooms no longer flash or make sound when new message arrives since last Miranda update.

Right-click by chat name in contact list → Mute chat → Default (privates and higlightes are long, all other - short flashing) or Never

It was set to default. I changed it to never and still no flashing or sound. What else can I check on? Also, if I close the chat room should it open when a message is sent?

The popups are not working as well for the chat rooms. Under Popups -> Event notifications none of the Disable notifications are checked. Is there any other information you need?
This is very frustrating for my users. They have to constantly check the chat rooms to see if there are new messages.

also check, please, if you enabled a filter in tabSRMM for these rooms or not

From what I can tell there are not filters active on the rooms. I have added screen shot of the chat room as well.

1) Is Highlighting enabled? ("Highlighting" tab)
2) Is sound for Incoming instant messages are assigned? See 0.95.12 changelog: "removed Sounds → Group chats → Incoming message option". Group chats now share sounds with private (instant messages)

thanks, it must have been fixed now in the dev version, build is already available at the server

even for highlighted messages? or you wanna hear a sound for each message in a group chat?

On this build, I got sounds for every group chat incoming or highlight
maybe some combination of settings...

Are all the setting stored in one file that I could send you to review? How else could it be determined what combination of setting are the cause. All I know for sure is that everything was working at the following level:

Please delete all accounts from Miranda account manager (Main menu -> Accounts). This will automatically delete all accounts, contacts and history. Compact database (Main menu -> Database -> Contact). Send this db to @ghazan or me (via forum private message).

Well, I add a new account into your profile, join to Jabber conference, put appropriate wave-file to Sounds
(my screen recorded cannot capture sound, but I really hear the sound :) )
sound, popup, tray flashing - all OK

What is the next step? I have tried again starting over from the beginning by installing the Miranda and then configuring it, still no popup notices or sound. Thank you.

Maybe it's server related...
Or channel related (like https://github.com/miranda-ng/miranda-ng/commit/b37a9860232c8f9bc8d0503783c53eb6abbae26e, where root of problem was channel without subject)
Can you test on gtest1@conference.jabber.ru? (our test room)
I tested in this room and everything works

Try miranda-ng-int@conference.jabber.ru it's our english-speaking chat.

Do I have to have an account on jabber.ru in order to get to the chat room miranda-ng-int@conference.jabber.ru?

I was unable to connect with our internal jabber server. I created an account on a free service and was able to connect to the chat room miranda-ng-int@conference.jabber.ru. Just waiting for someone to post a new message to see what happens.

You can ping me when I'm at a conference (usually starting from 14-15 PM Moscow time)
Or just create second account and log in from another Miranda to write smth

That may indicate that your internal server do not have federation enabled. Not a surprise for an INTERNAL server. And only your network administrators could answer your question.

Just An FYI. I was going through the different options and settings in a chat room and set the topic for the chat room. Now the notices and the sounds work for that chat room that the topic was set. Apparently no set topic no notifications or sound.

Was that a part of update for build #23277. Mine updated to that version this morning. If the new build was to contain the fix it is not working, there are no notifications or sound when topic is blank.
