Title: MSN still doesn't connect

I've updated to 0.95.5 and tried to connect again with my MSN account.
But nothing happens. No error message. Any hints on what I can check?

You need to download and install OpenSSL from here (http://slproweb.com/products/Win32OpenSSL.html).

Still doesn't work for me.
It says that my "username or password is incorrect", even though they're both correct.
Also, this error dialog has got Yes/No confirmation buttons, which is weird.

EDIT:
Is it because it only accepts live.com addresses?
If so, this is a big problem..
I've only got a live.no alias, and it doesn't seem possible to create live.com aliases anymore.

I don't get any error message. MNG just tries to connect but nothing happesn and is offline.

I have installed it 1.0.2h x64 as I use MNG x64. Doesn't work.
I have copied it to the MNG folder and plugins folder and everywhere just to test it. Doesn't work.
Anything else I can try?

No, it seems like this bug (http://trac.miranda-ng.org/ticket/1214), which no one else could reproduce so far.

The problem must lay elsewhere, cuz I can't connect to Skype from Outlook.com either, even though I've linked my account.
Does the MSN/Skype protocol rely on a certain Windows process to establish the connection?
Except for svhost.exe, I've pretty much blocked all of them.

EDIT:
Nah, judging from my firewall log, it doesn't seem to interfere.

Have you blocked microsoft hosts? (as some overzealous windows users do) ? If you block certain hosts, you will not be able to connect.

I changed my password online and got the login window website in MNG.
When I changed the password in MNG to the correct one, nothing happens again.

I'm able to connect to Skype from outlook.com now, using the new Pale Moon Alpha build, with support for ES6 Promises:

However, I've still not been able to connect, using Miranda NG. :(

I'm on holiday and moved from Germany to France. In the hotel I started MNG and a website opened with MSN asking for my email address and a code they could send. I did this but after this I'm still not able to log in.
